Plant description
Smoky, dark red, bottlebrush flowers that resemble foxtails, emerge in mid to to late summer, turning brown in autumn and often lasting through winter. These blooms make excellent cut flowers for fresh or dried arrangements. ‘Red Head’ is an award-winning, clump-forming perennial grass with gracefully arching narrow green leaves. Deep green in summer, the foliage turns gold in autumn and buff in winter. We love to see this planted with Verbena bonariensis, Aster x frikartii βMΓΆnchβ and Echinacea purpurea.
